What's going on with the Weather?

Yesterday, the Tuscaloosa County School board officially closed schools in the district for Thursday, January 7, 2010. However, as of this moment, the school's are still open tomorrow. To find up-to-the-minute information, visit the TCSS site at http://www.tcss.net/?DivisionID=2769&ToggleSideNav=.
Although there has been no "real" snow as of yet, there is still a chance of at least a good inch later this afternoon. Even more concerning than the snow, however, is a definite possibility of ice and very bad road conditions. If you would like to learn more, visit The Weather Channel's outlook for our area at www.weather.com/weather/local/35405?lswe=35405&from=searchbox_localwx.
You can also visit local station ABC 33/40 by going to http://www.abc3340.com/. There you can check out more information on school closings, James Spann's "Weather Blog," and other useful information!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

On Monday, December 21, 2009, we celebrated the upcoming holiday season (in our pajamas!) with a party in the classroom. With donations provided by our parents, I was able to pull together a festive treat that the students really seemed to enjoy. After the party wrapped-up, we all sat down to exchange the books that our "Secret Santa" had chosen for us.
