Boosterthon Donations

The time has come to start rounding up your sponsorship donations! Use the number of laps your child ran last Friday (located on the back of his or her t-shirt) to determine how much you and your friends and family are donating to our school! Remeber, the "lap cap" was 35, so if he or she went over that, there is probably a lot of "extra marks" on the shirt that you are not responsible for! The Boosterthon guys have asked that we have ALL donation money in by Thursday, March 4, 2010. THAT'S THIS THURSDAY!

The Boosterthon is Coming!

We are halfway through our Boosterthon build-up! Last week our class met our first incentive goal of $10.00 pledged per lap! I know that this coming week will bring our classroom even more sponsors so we can work our way up our "Incentives Ladder."

If you have not already signed up as a sponsor, please consider doing so! Basically, you (and other family members and friends - if they are available to help us out) pledge a given amount per lap that your child will run in Thursday's Boosterthon. For example, if you pledge the recommended $1.00 per lap and your child runs 25 laps (the Boosterthon guys know we're not made of money, so they will kindly not count laps over 35), you will be giving a donation of $25.00.

This event is a tremendous event to support our school, but also our classroom. I will receive 20% of all collected money from our room to put back into our classroom!

I fully understand if you don't feel like you can participate at this time, but each day a child gets a sponsor (or another sponsor for that matter), he or she will receive prizes from the Boosterthon guys. The guys come in everyday to hand out prizes and pep up the students in anticipation of next Thursday's Fun Run!
